Tom has been designing and making furniture for over 20 years.
His designs have a graceful, organic element to them,
contrasted with geometric lines and subtle features in
the form of contrasting timbers and exposed joint details.
Tom himself states, " Many of my designs are inspired by
the elegant and flowing lines found in natural forms,
reflecting the natural beauty of the Scottish hardwoods
that I use in my furniture."
Commissioning bespoke furniture can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, as you can buy a totally unique piece of furniture that can incorporate your own design input. You can also come visit the workshop in the beautiful grounds of Newbattle Abbey, Dalkeith to
experience the making of your furniture in progress.
Every piece is constructed with the highest quality of craftsmanship, and with a unique attention to detail.
Scottish, locally sourced hardwoods are often used to create many of the pieces of bespoke furniture, prized for its interesting grain, depth of colour and beautiful character.
However, Tom not only makes beautiful handcrafted furniture, but will also turn his hand to fitted furniture and bespoke joinery, such as fitted kitchens, bookcases and doors, as well as architectural joinery.
He is also an accomplished wood turner, producing hand turned bowls, chair legs and spindles. Please go to www.tcfinefurniture.co.uk for more information.rekam eht tcatnoC
