The Peebles Woodmarket returns on 21st October, in the familiar setting of the Peebles Community Centre (the Drill Hall). This favourite Borders event is an annual showcase for makers in wood from the Borders and beyond. And it’s FREE!
In what is probably the biggest Peebles Woodmarket ever, no fewer than twenty-five makers will present an amazing diversity of wood products for visitors to browse and buy: exclusive designer furniture of all kinds, wooden sculpture, clocks, classic rocking horses, baskets, elegant storage. There are lots of small wooden items too: signage, jewellery, pens, puzzle boxes, jig-saws…and more. The versatility of wood is demonstrated by these many uses. But it is a beautiful material too, with its limitless variation of colour and grain pattern.
Alongside our makers, suppliers of native and exotic hardwoods will also be exhibiting, providing interest and inspiration of all who make in wood, and aspiring makers too.
Exhibitors include:
Daniel Lacey, Paul Neal, Michael Booth, Colin Semple, Tony Nichol, Benjamin Young, John Brown, Dave McKeen, Kelly Hodgston, Edinburgh Table, Scottish Wood, Ron Campbell, Anna Nichols, Derek Thompson, Stephen Finch, Ann Liebman, Ian Graham, Paul Scott McCallum, Brian Mahler, David Smith, George Watson, Michael McManus, Knightingale, John Muir Trust, Mike Dempsey, The Forge (Edinburgh), Bob Oldale
